A Flushing pediatrician was arrested by the NYPD Special Victims Squad on Tuesday morning in connection with multiple sexual abuse incidents involving a 15-year-old girl and a 20-year-old woman.

Dr. Fazul Yusuf, 72, of 146th Street, was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court later that day on a criminal complaint charging him with two counts of forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of sexual abuse in the third degree and two counts of harassment in the second degree.

According to the charges, on the afternoon of Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the medical practice he operates in his home at 57-07 146th St. in Flushing, Yusuf allegedly put his hand down the shirt of his 20-year-old patient and rubbed his hand over her breast underneath her bra, without her consent and stated, “You’re beautiful. Why don’t you come work for me?”

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on the same day, Yusuf allegedly grabbed the thigh of his 15-year-old patient and then grabbed her breast over her shirt, without her consent. According to the criminal complaint, he stated, “You’re beautiful. Why don’t you come work for me?”

Yusuf pleaded not guilty to the charges at his arraignment before Queens Criminal Court Judge Indira Khan who set bail at $10,000 cash, $30,000 insurance company bond and $30,000 partially secured surety bond and issued a temporary order of protection.

The investigation by the Special Victims Squad remains ongoing and the NYPD is asking any other victims to come forward by calling the NYPD’s Sex Crimes Hotline at 212-267-7273 or the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782).
