He was tracked down in Long Island City on Sept. 8.
The feds busted an illegal migrant in Long Island City who was wanted for helping murder a male sex worker in Guyana in 2015, authorities and reports said Monday.
Kanand Ojha, 45, was involved in the brutal killing of Nephi Noel Luther in Georgetown, the South American nation's capital, 11 years ago, then fled to the US a week later, said US Immigration and Customs Enforcement in a statement.
He initially legally entered the US through Kennedy Airport in Queens during the Obama administration, but his lawful status was revoked shortly after when officials learned of his outstanding arrest warrant in his native country, officials said.
The suspect then eluded authorities for years before he was finally tracked down in Queens on Sept. 8 and arrested by the US Marshals Service’s New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force — a specialized unit comprised of agents from ICE and Homeland Security Investigations, officials said.
He was swiftly deported back to Guyana and charged with the murder Sept. 21, according to the Guyana Chronicle.
The suspect's accomplice in the murder — triggerman Ron Forde — was convicted of manslaughter in Guyana and sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2017, according to the feds.

Ojha had accused Luther, a prostitute, of robbing him after an argument with an unsatisfied john who was a friend of Forde’s, according to The Daily Herald , a Caribbean newspaper. He then reportedly returned with Forde, who shot the 20-year-old dead.
“New Yorkers are safer today because this accused murderer is no longer free to roam our neighborhoods,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations New York City Field Office Director Kenneth Genalo in the statement.
“Officials who obstruct lawful cooperation between immigration authorities and law enforcement partners place politics ahead of safety and allow dangerous fugitives to embed themselves within our communities," Genalo said, in a reference to New York City policies that restrict local agencies from cooperating with ICE.
